DAWSON CREEK – Dawson Creek will benefit from the installation of two crosswalk counters at signalized intersections on 8th Street, thanks to a $16,000 investment from the B.C. government. Construction on this improvement project, which will improve pedestrian and cyclist safety, began on July 15, 2016.

“Dawson Creek’s 8th Street is the heart of our community, and I’m pleased to see these improvements being made that will make this road safer for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians alike,” Peace River South MLA Mike Bernier said. “Projects like these are a commitment by B.C.’s government to build our infrastructure, improve safety and support our local economies across the province.”

This project is part of B.C. on the Move, the B.C. government’s 10-year transportation plan to improve the province’s transportation network.
